Uninstalling the Mac Print Scout

To uninstall the Print Scout from a Mac workstation, complete the following steps:

  1. Run the Uninstall utility located in /Library/Application Support/Pharos/PrintScout. Double-click Uninstall.
  2. Click Uninstall.
  3. Enter an admin account Name and password, then click OK.
  4. At the “Uninstalled successfully!” message, click Quit.

Silent Uninstall

To silently uninstall the Mac Print Scout from the command line, use the shell script SilentUninstall.sh to run the uninstall. Open the Terminal and run the following command:

sudo /Library/Application\ Support/Pharos/PrintScout/SilentUninstall.sh

Note: Running the Uninstall.app silently from the command line on Mac OS X 10.13 throws an error. The workaround is to use the shell script SilentUninstall.sh.

When a Mac Print Scout is uninstalled, a notification is sent to Pharos Cloud and the Scout State property is set to Uninstalled.
