Guest Print Settings

Guest Print allows non-employees (visitors, contractors, etc.) to print documents without requiring user accounts in an organization’s directory system.

Guest Print is simple and straightforward. An employee (e.g., front desk staff) invites a guest user to print. The guest receives an email with a link to the Secure Release Guest portal. The guest prints by uploading documents using the Secure Release Guest portal and releasing those documents from a secure printer using the passcode provided.

Note: The Guest Print feature is in preview mode and is available upon request. The Operations team will need to enable the Guest Print feature in the backend.

Enabling Guest Print

You can enable Guest Print in the Secure > Settings > Guest Print screen. Guest Print is controlled by the following settings:

  • Enable guest printing (Allow non-employees to print while at company offices) - This toggles guest print on or off. By default, guest printing is OFF. When Guest Print is enabled, guests (visitors, contractors, etc) will be able to print documents without requiring user accounts in the company's directory system.
  • Duration - The link to the Secure Release Guest Portal expires after 30 days by default. This setting is the period in which guests can use the system after invitation.

Note: For Guest Print to work, you'll need to enable Passcode Only Release and OpenID Connect Authentication Provider. For more information, refer to the Configuring Guest Print document.
